Algebra I Honors Tutorial
This tutorial will assist those students enrolled in Algebra I Honors in their understanding of algebra. The course will parallel the 8th grade honors curricula for Algebra 1 Honors. This class will assist students, by lecture and question/answer, in understanding the subject so well that their quiz and test scores will be excellent.
Algebra II / Trig Regular Tutorial (MSJ)
The instructor will teach seminar style, often clarifying weekly concepts being studied in Algebra II/Trigonometry Regular. Question/Answer and some individualized help are part of this class, as well as math short cuts, problem solving skills, homework help, and test strategies. During the session, the instructor will cover the following topics: solving equations, functions, polynomials, rational expressions, quadratic functions and complex numbers.

Geometry Honors Tutorial (MSJ)
This tutorial class is designed for students currently enrolled in an Honors Geometry course. It provides support for the instruction they receive at school by reviewing homework assignments, completing additional examples, and re-teaching difficult concepts. Special emphasis is placed on the completion of geometric proofs. Also, the instructor provides insight into material that will be covered in the upcoming week of class.
Pre-Calculus Honors Tutorial (MSJ)
Pre-Calculus is arguably the most difficult course in mathematics that a high school student endures, because it is a transition from simple problem solving (algebra) to more abstract, theoretical mathematics (calculus). The key to easing this transition is knowledge of shortcuts, good form in working out problems, and attention to the right details. This tutorial is designed to emphasize these fundamental parts of the Pre-Calculus curriculum. In effect, the student will not only be able to polish his or her homework more efficiently, but will also significantly improve performance in both the course, and the Calculus courses to follow.
AP Calculus AB Tutorial (MSJ)
Be proud of yourself if you are taking Calculus. It is one of the hardest courses, even at the college level. Calculus combines all the concepts from algebra, geometry, and trigonometry to create a whole new language for understanding abstract problems in engineering and physical science. One reason why AP Calculus is so difficult is because there is so much to cover, and students are expected to learn brand new complex problem solving techniques each day. This tutorial will focus on breaking down the difficult techniques to fully understand them, synthesizing the concepts into proper tools, and getting students to practice until they are comfortable solving the problems. In addition to obtaining support in tackling the AP test, students will review their homework and become better prepared for lessons and tests in their class.
