Bellamy Liu, a Mission San Jose High School graduate, was one of the students in the very first class at Mill Creek Academy. Through the many years with Mrs. Sabraw as his mentor, he developed a deep hunger for knowledge and became inspired to share the joy of learning with others.
After obtaining an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from UCLA, Mr. Liu worked in research and development at pharmaceutical companies. He started tutoring students in math and sciences in the evenings and on weekends, and he soon found that teaching was his true passion. Mr. Liu is currently getting his teaching credential at CSU East Bay and is student teaching at James Logan High School. He finds teaching to be most exciting because each lesson presents a new challenge in trying to help students get one step closer toward their goals. He also likes to see how students think about and explore new concepts. Besides working with students, he enjoys spending his free time with family and friends as well as exploring the world in traveling and hiking.
