Mr. Scott Ho
Mr. Ho currently teaches Integrated Science at Fallon Middle School. Before teaching at Fallon, Mr. Ho taught Biology at Newark Memorial High School. His love of Biology began all the way back in high school and through his time at UCSD. After graduating from college, Mr. Ho was unsure what he wanted to do for work. So, he reflected on his life, looked for trends and recalled teaching others in various settings. Next, he began tutoring students and observing classrooms at a local high school. He enjoyed his experience in the classroom and decided to become a teacher. He earned his teaching credential and Masters in Education from CSU East Bay.
Mr. Ho wants his students to become critical thinkers. Science is less about knowing facts and more about gathering evidence to better support or reject an opinion. In an ever-changing world, there is a great need to be thoughtful and scientific. Mr. Ho looks forward to challenging students to prove their ideas and put into words what they are thinking.
When he is not at school, Mr. Ho enjoys watching movies with his wife and playing with his baby daughter. Mr. Ho’s daughter is learning new things every week and it is his responsibility to help her. He also enjoys reading and playing tennis.
