Ms. Alexandra Herman
Ms. Herman grew up in Pleasanton, California, and knew early on she wanted to become a teacher at the age of eight years old. Inspired by her teachers, specifically her English teacher, she knew that a career in education was her destiny. Realizing that her teachers changed her life, she hopes to make the same impact on her students.
Upon graduating from high school, while having gain admissions to colleges outside her local community, Ms. Herman knew that it was important to plan strategically with her curriculum studies. Beginning with her college studies at Las Positas and Butte Community College, there she completed all her general education requirements and then transferred to California State University, Chico. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies and thereafter spent some time teaching at a private school in Pleasanton. Most currently, she is enjoying her position as a 6th grade English/Language Arts and History at Pleasanton Middle School. When she is not teaching, Ms. Herman can be found leading the school’s after school tutoring club and coaching the girls’ cheerleading team.
In her free time, Ms. Herman and her horse, Winnie, are a part of a horseback riding team located in Livermore and often practicing for upcoming showcases and competition. Ms. Herman also loves spending time with her dog, Moose, her family, and her friends.
