Ms. Ambrosia Johnston
Mrs. Johnston graduated from Modesto High School’s International Baccalaureate Program and went on to graduate Cum Laude with her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of San Francisco as a first-generation college graduate. She earned her Master’s degree thereafter and has always felt passionate about being a lifelong learner. Currently, she is earning her Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from California State University, Stanislaus. Analyzing best practices, and providing detailed commentary feedback on student work are examples of how Ms. Johnston supports her students in the writing process.
After years in the classroom, Mrs. Johnston is now an English Language Arts Instructional Coach, where she supports and guides teachers in implementing best practices in reading and writing instruction throughout the district.
When Mrs. Johnston is not in the classroom, you can find her going on hikes with her husband and dog, or singing and dancing at her local theatre. Mrs. Johnston looks forward to helping the students grow scholarly skills in reading and writing at Mill Creek Academy.
