Mrs. Chiarina Dorety

Mrs. Dorety believes that “Educating the MIND without educating the HEART is no education at all” (Aristotle), a philosophy which has guided her approach to education. She works consistently to provide a welcoming classroom environment to ensure that her students feel valued and will put forth their best effort to be as successful as possible.
Mrs. Dorety graduated from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia with a B.A. in English Literature and a minor in Secondary Education. A believe in higher education, she received her Master’s Degree from Wilmington University in Interdisciplinary Studies in Education with a focus on Equity in Education and Technology in Education.
Since 2007, Mrs. Dorety has been an English teacher where she teaches senior accelerated English as well as AP Literature and Composition. She has helped guide her many seniors through the college application process and looks forward to celebrating each spring with her students as they prepare for the next step in their lives. In her spare time she enjoys reading and playing with her children, as well as her, Great Dane. Her effective communication and energy adds a task oriented spirit to the Mill Creek Academy team.
