Ms. Clarissa Louie
Ms. Louie who prides herself on being an Aggie, graduated from the University of California, Davis with a double major in English and Mathematics. Having a passion for both subject matters, Ms. Louie decided to pursue her love for writing and graduated with a Masters in Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Mills College. During her time at Mills College, she had opportunities to perfect her own writing skills by studying both non fiction and fictional writing. It was during this time that she realized the power a teacher has to change lives. She knew teaching would give her access to helping students succeed in their futures. However, her passion for math only continued to grow and she knew it was her calling to teach math in the public system. Ms. Louie received her mathematics credential from California State University, East Bay.
She is part of the talented faculty team at James Logan and is currently teaching Algebra I and Algebra II. Helping students understand how math can be applied and used in everyday life allows her to connect with her students. Ms. Louie is enthusiastic and patient. She is excited to join the team at Mill Creek Academy and looks forward to teaching your child how to better understand math strategies and operations.
During her free time, she loves ballet and also claims the title “foodie” as she enjoys trying new culinary delights.
