Ms. Kathryn Molinaro
Ms. Molinaro graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Mary Washington, a small liberal arts college in Virginia. Immediately after finishing her undergraduate work, she moved to New York City to pursue a career in journalism. She worked for a financial magazine during the day and continued her love for writing by publishing articles for New York newspapers and various blogs. Ms. Molinaro’s passion for writing led her to pursue a degree at New York University, where she earned her Master of Arts in English and American Literature. Her academia has given her multiple opportunities to publish her fictional short story writings at both NYU and at the University of Mary Washington, and her accomplished work can be seen in the campus literary magazines. Ms. Molinaro has also begun her teaching certification in the Language Arts through the New York State examination boards.
Her teaching experience comes from working with students at the Institute of Reading Development. There, she instructed students to improve their reading and writing confidence. Ms. Molinaro has also spent the past couple of years teaching literature and composition courses at the New York Professional Business College. She enjoys the challenge and creativity involved in capturing students through engaging curriculum. Her skills in teaching students how to focus on writing structure and grammar are tools she looks forward to bringing to the students at Mill Creek Academy.
In addition to baking, reading, and biking in her free time, Ms. Molinaro is looking forward to spending her free time exploring and learning more about the Bay Area as she leaves New York to begin a new adventure.
