Ms. Linda Beardwood
Ms. Beardwood grew up in sunny Southern California where she earned her Bachelors of Arts in Liberal Studies at Azusa Pacific University. It was at Azusa where Ms. Beardwood continued her passion for studying literature and the humanities, which fueled her drive to complete her graduate studies in obtaining a Masters of Arts in Education. Working with young minds has always been a passion, especially with the privilege of teaching English to elementary students in the Ontario-Montclair School District. With a zest of traveling and pursuing new opportunities, Ms. Beardwood completed a two year teaching opportunity in China where she taught Engilsh courses to students at Kinglee High School in Zhengzhou, Henan, China. While working with the Chinese community, Ms. Beardwood’s love for teaching English continued to grow.
Moving back to California, she continued her teaching adventures and moved to the Bay Area where she has been part of the faculty at Chinese Christian School in Alameda. There, she teaches 5th grade English and works on showing students how to master the Six Traits of Writing. Ms. Beardwood is enthusiastic about teaching and wants to share her love for learning with the students at Mill Creek Academy.
She looks forward to helping young minds refine their language arts skills. When Ms. Beardwood is not working on crafting curriculum and assisting her colleagues, she enjoys playing piano and going on hikes with her friends.
