Ms. Julie Luikart
Ms. Luikart is grateful to have found her passion for Science at an early age. Since she can remember, there has been a fascination with how the natural world is studied through the process of experimentation and observation. Since graduating with a Bachelors in Science degree in Marine Biology for the University of California, Santa Cruz, Ms. Luikart knew teaching young minds would be career invested for the greater good of humanity. Continuing her studies, she earned her Single Subject teaching credential in Science from Cal State East Bay. Starting her teaching career in 2003, she has spent the past 10 years at Mission San Jose High School. Creating curriculum and instruction in all various levels of Science: Biology, Anatomy, Integrated Science, and NGSS 1, she is committed to bringing the love of Science to the students who enter her classroom doors.
Trained with a Guided Language Acquisition Design (GLAD), Ms. Luikart understands the importance of providing differentiated strategies in meeting the needs of her students. Currently working on her Administrative credential and Masters in Educational Leadership, Ms. Luikart is focused and excited for how her experience can positively influence the field of Education.
Ms. Luikart looks forward to teaching the students at Mill Creek Academy.
