Ms. Pamela Busarello

Ms. Pamela Busarello–or Ms. Bus, as her students affectionately call her–believes our words are our superpower and strives to unlock the magic we all possess through our written and spoken communication.
Ms. Bus grew up in a small north Jersey town enamored with her teachers and knew from an early age that becoming an educator was her calling. She wanted to create a safe and loving space for students to make mistakes, grow, and learn. She solidified her future path as a high school English teacher after her own eleventh grade year, during which time her English III honors teacher embodied these qualities while also engaging her students with the written word. It was in that teacher’s classroom that Ms. Bus truly knew where her life was headed.
Ms. Busarello graduated from The College of New Jersey with a secondary education and English dual degree and a creative writing minor. She also earned the New Jersey Distinguished Student Teacher of the Year award from the New Jersey Department of Education that spring. In the two decades since, Ms. Bus has returned to TCNJ to speak to future English educators and to collaborate with her former professors on panel discussions and workshops. Helping students discover their passions and create guided paths to their goals is why she loves to teach.
You will find Ms. Bus thrives teaching ninth grade English 1 and AP English Language and Composition. Facilitating the writing and reading process, she wants her students to understand the true value of words. She is excited to bring her passion for language expression to the College Essay Team to help students meet the success they deserve through the stories they craft.
Outside of education, Ms. Pamela Busarello is a mom of three who loves to read, travel, ski, and cheer on her kids from the soccer sidelines.
