Ms. Stefania Shjarback

Famed American author Margaret Atwood has said, “A word, after a word, after a word is power.” This sentiment is something Mrs. Shjarback believes deeply as an English educator and language lover.
Mrs. Shjarback graduated from Monmouth University with a B.A in Secondary Education and English with a minor in Italian. As a first-generation American, the ability to go to college and then go on to teach, especially the English language, to others has been one of her greatest gifts.
In high school, college, and then in her professional life, Mrs. Shjarback served in a variety of leadership roles channeling her love of helping and mentoring others. It was through these experiences where she realized her desire to develop her passion for leadership. She went on to receive her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Management, and Policy from Seton Hall University.
As a high school English teacher for over a decade, Mrs. Shjarback has taught in both Texas and New Jersey. Currently, she is a 10th and 11th grade teacher and loves to take her students through the journey of studying literature. From facilitating engaging discussions to teaching her students to think critically, she believes all students deserve a place to share their stories. Finding where they below is one of her guiding principles and she is excited to help students achieve those stories through the college essays.
Mrs. Shjarback loves to travel and spend time with her family and friends. She is married to fellow educator and college professor, John, and together, they have two children. She is thrilled to join the Mill Creek Academy team and looks forward to working with students as they embark on the quest of achieving their scholastic dreams!
