Ms. Tiffany Stelle

Having a passion for literature at a young age, Ms. Stelle always knew she would enter a career in Education.  As a native to Fremont where she was once a student at Irvington High School, Ms. Stelle has had the opportunity to partner with Ms. Moore, English teacher from Mission San Jose High, to teach both 9th grade College Prep English and AVID. Ms. Stelle graduated with Honors from California State University East Bay with a bachelor’s degree in English Literature. Upon graduating, she continued her studies at Humboldt State University where she will receive her Single Subject Credential in English in May 2016.  Ms. Stelle has enjoyed the experience teaching different grade levels, whether through teaching dance and art at a local charter school or working at John F. Kennedy High School, developing the AVID program. In addition, she has worked as a para-educator with autistic students.

Ms. Stelle is dedicated to her teaching philosophy that each individual student should have the opportunity to succeed, not only in academia, but also in achieving their personal aspirations. She strives to help each student establish connections they need to become lifelong learners. Ms. Stelle believes literature is not just about the words on the page or the plot line, but rather, literature is a tool of discovery that can allow students to learn about the social injustice in the world.

Ms. Stelle enjoys reading Science-Fiction novels along with a variety of poetry. She also loves to explore new hiking trails with her five year old daughter. Taking pleasure in coaching a youth cheerleading squad and visiting local theaters, Ms. Stelle is eager to bring her energy and excitement to the students at Mill Creek Academy as she knows the powerful impact literature can have on society, culture, and character development.
