Ms. Zoe Breen
Ms. Breen is originally from Solvang, California, but made her way to the Bay Area after attending the University of the Pacific in Stockton. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education and both her Multiple Subject and Single Subject English teaching credentials. Ms. Breen is passionate about the thoughtful integration of technology in her lessons and further developed this passion when earning her Master’s degree in Learning and Technology from Western Governor’s University.
In addition to holding traditional teaching jobs, Ms. Breen has also spent summers teaching at Zoo Summer Camps at the Santa Barbara Zoo and working with the South Coast Writing Project at the University of California Santa Barbara running digital writing camps. During her seven years of teaching, Ms. Breen has worked with all levels of middle school and has taught a range of subjects from English, Yearbook, Film Studies, History, and Integrated Technology. She is currently teaching 6th graders at Hart Middle School in Pleasanton and loves the enthusiasm for learning that her students consistently demonstrate in class.
In her free time, Ms. Breen loves to read and is currently in the process of accomplishing her goal of finishing 100 books a year. Her favorite place to read is in her hammock with her dog, Kiwi. When she isn’t reading, Ms. Breen also loves to travel and venture to a new destination each summer, Peru being one of her most memorable trips favorite landscapes. She looks forward to meeting her students at Mill Creek and can’t wait to engage with each one of them.
